Turf Cutters are used when you want to remove just the turf from an area. There are many reasons for removing turf such as replacing a poor quality lawn, creating vegetable patches or creating new pathways. A common use for turf cutters at the moment is by people who are taking up their natural grass and replacing it with an artificial lawn. All of the machines we hire are extremely strong, meet our exacting performance standards and are very simple to operate. Consequently the TC07 turf cutter has proved extremely popular with both DIY and professional operators who appreciate its build quality. One of the key design principles of this machine is that it is simple to use. Once the engine has been started, there is a lever to engage the centrifugal clutch and blade, another to start the machine driving forward and another to drop the blade into the ground. In seconds you are cutting turf and getting your job done. The required cutting depth is easily achieved with the height adjustment on the front of the machine and can be adjusted from 10mm to 35mm. Vibration on the TC07 is kept to a minimum thanks to a unique anti-vibration mount on the handlebars. You can use a turf cutter at any time of the year although we wouldn't recommend using the machine if the ground is particularly hard, ie following a long dry spell.
